At Highlands School Quito, we firmly believe technology should be a tool, not an end. Our educational approach integrates digital resources responsibly, always from a person-centered perspective.

PBL is a methodology we apply at our school, and it’s all about learning by doing. Instead of receiving information passively, students research, collaborate, and solve real or meaningful challenges, applying knowledge from different subjects to reach concrete solutions.

In line with our Latin motto, “Semper Altius,” we aspire for each student graduating from our schools to reach the highest possible level of integral formation development and always strive to be their highest version.

Since 2022, our school has held Cognia certification, an international nonprofit organization that provides quality assurance for schools, school districts, and educational service providers worldwide.

At Highlands, we use formative discipline as an educational intervention method that promotes self-regulation of behavior in response to the responsible exercise of freedom and maturation in love. This approach fosters an environment of respect and responsibility, promoting positive learning.
